Sorensen Family – Real Life

These real life family sessions are way too much fun, truly I couldn’t ask for better clients and friends to capture! This family has been all over the blog, facebook and my work for years now – I can’t believe Natalie turns 8 this month and Ryder will be 4, where has the time gone? I went over to their new house the other weekend to spend some time with them, cooking in the kitchen. It was a perfect evening! Thanks Brittany and Justin for having me over, can’t wait to do it again… next time no camera:)xo

While everyone was cooking, Ryder was playing in the other room!

Shepherd Family – Real Life

FINALLY – a new post! I’ve been meaning to share this post for awhile and well I will be honest, just haven’t had time to post it until now! BUT this is quite possibly one of my favorite type of session to offer  - real life. You’re probably thinking, but our life isn’t all that exciting? Oh no no no … it is so exciting and to be honest, you’re kids will look back and remember these moments of what you would typically be doing on a Saturday afternoon instead of the photo session you do for Holiday cards.

The Shepherd’s are one of my favorite families, no lie, and they’ve been with me since the beginning which is why I knew they would be such a fun family to capture in their everyday. Winter was still around, so we did a little baking inside and some dancing. Actually there was a LOT of dancing:)Take a look….

Regular sessions are still available, real life sessions are now an option for any time of year – whatever your real life consists of, I’d love to capture it for you!

XO

2012 Favorites

It’s one of my favorite times of year – the time to share favorites from the last season. I can’t believe how fast 2012 went by , it truly FLEW by but not without some incredible sessions with families, engagements, 2 fabulous weddings, and lots of little ones! Thank you everyone who trusted me to photograph them this last year, some days I have to pinch myself to remind me how lucky I am to do what I love every day! Cheers to you and yours, hopefully this new year will be even better than the last. Now let’s get to the photos, in no particular order …. Here is who I spent my 2012 with:)

Don’t forget to book your Spring and Summer sessions sooner rather than later, it’s a busy time of year that I would never want anyone to miss out on! Stay warm friends:)

Hauer Family – Christmas Tree Shopping

Bundle up with your jackets, hats and mittens – it’s that time of year to go Christmas Tree shopping! This was all Sarah’s idea and I was SO excited when she e-mailed me about it, like giddy excited! Not only do I ADORE this family but I’ve been dying to do a session like this. I’ve been photographing Will for almost 4 years now and just like his cousin Finn, he finally likes me – so much so, he was all about the camera this time! I guess it just takes time… Ben is now 1 1/2 and cute as ever, I have a feeling as he gets older these two are going to be blast together!

We met up in Linden Hills area across from Turtle Bread to check out the trees and then warmed up with a cookie and coffee. It was a great end to a holiday weekend – thanks Sarah for asking me to capture this for you guys!:)

Mom and Will – you can never have too many photos of mom and her boy!

Will – the tree picker!

A total ham and he still has those BIG blue eyes!

Ben had me cracking up – he wanted to sit at his own table, as I walked over to take a photo, this was the look I got. “EXCUSE ME?”

It’s true – brothers can share!:)

A new found best friend – Santa Clause. He was MESMERIZED…

it’s Santa….:)

The men at this tree lot were awesome with Will and Ben – they played this donut game. Will had to reach in and try and grab a donut before the lid closed! Nothing but laughter from this little boy.

The boys and their perfect Christmas Tree!
