Hiii! Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog! My name is Ashley Cohn and I'm a lifestyle photographer in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

I'll tell you a little bit about myself: I went to college at Iowa State University and the University of Minnesota majoring in Family Social Science, this gave me the foundation to work with families and children in a different situations and environments. If you asked me what I wanted to be growing up, I would have told you a teacher without a doubt in my mind. I developed a passion for working with children when I was little and have been able to combine it with my love of photography to have the best job on earth (in my opinion)...a photographer :) I love being able to capture kids, newborn babies, families, people in love, and all of life's precious moments.

A few fun facts: I am addicted to M&Ms, plain is always preferred but I can mix it up between peanut butter and the mint during Christmas time. I read almost every issue of People and US Weekly magazine, cover to cover, and check gossip sites on a daily basis. Friends is one of my favorite shows. Discovering a new song and playing it on repeat is one of life's simple pleasures. My photography business is named after my brothers and me; J is for Jesse my younger but much taller brother and Tyler is my brother who lost is battle with leukemia at the age of 8. This way they will always be a part of me.

2011 Favorites

A few of my personal favorites from last year… from a wedding, to babies, a couple of seniors and a whole lot of love! Thank you to everyone who made 2011 absolutely INCREDIBLE, honestly I can’t wait to see what 2012 brings!

My adorable Godson and his mama made the trip back to Minnesota for the holidays but we couldn’t let this time go by without a few pictures! He’s already getting so big, 3 years old now – where has the time gone? We just did a quick session yesterday around the area – because what do you get when you have a 3 year old who just wants to love on his mama? Lots of cuddly, snuggle pictures with mother and sonNext time we do family photos, Billy will be here or I will be there in Virginia!!! Love you guys!

Miss Braelyn made a brief appearance on the blog a few months ago during Madisyn’s 1 year session, but this time it’s ALL ABOUT HER! If you have a 3 year old, or even been around one, you’ll notice they are full of energy and silly faces. B was nothing short of that and I loved every second of it! You know it’s going to be a great session when you get a running hug at the start! B’s mama and I have known each other since I think 3rd grade, back when Beauty and the Beast on ice was cool.. yes we definitely went to it togetherThey have finally made the move back to MN from Montana and it has been so wonderful to see them again!
