Hiii! Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog! My name is Ashley Cohn and I'm a lifestyle photographer in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

I'll tell you a little bit about myself: I went to college at Iowa State University and the University of Minnesota majoring in Family Social Science, this gave me the foundation to work with families and children in a different situations and environments. If you asked me what I wanted to be growing up, I would have told you a teacher without a doubt in my mind. I developed a passion for working with children when I was little and have been able to combine it with my love of photography to have the best job on earth (in my opinion)...a photographer :) I love being able to capture kids, newborn babies, families, people in love, and all of life's precious moments.

A few fun facts: I am addicted to M&Ms, plain is always preferred but I can mix it up between peanut butter and the mint during Christmas time. I read almost every issue of People and US Weekly magazine, cover to cover, and check gossip sites on a daily basis. Friends is one of my favorite shows. Discovering a new song and playing it on repeat is one of life's simple pleasures. My photography business is named after my brothers and me; J is for Jesse my younger but much taller brother and Tyler is my brother who lost is battle with leukemia at the age of 8. This way they will always be a part of me.

Anne and Randy – Minnetonka Maternity Photography

I’m pretty excited to have a mama to be on the blog – feel like it’s been awhile and I couldn’t ask for a more perfect person to show off! Guess who is going to be a BIG SISTER….. AMELIA!!!!I’m so happy Courtney and Ryan got to share the news yesterday that they are having baby #2, because I’ll be honest the secret was eating me alive! I just wanted to shout it from the rooftops! They are incredible parents, and Amelia is going to be a GREAT big sister!!!!

On top of that AWESOME news, I’m thinking of offering two mini sessions dates for those who are interested… I know everyone gets super busy when it comes to the fall, so if you are up for a short… 25-30 minute session, 10-12 images on a disc… let me know and we’ll figure out a date.

Possible dates: September 25, October 23 if there’s a lot of interest, I will open up a 3rd date! Please e-mail me ASAP if you would like to do one of these days!

2010… What a year! :)

Oh 2010, where have you gone? I can’t believe how fast it came and went! This year was unbelievable… I can’t seem to put into words how it’s been so I’ll let some of the pictures from the past 365 days show itI feel like I’ve grown not only as a person but a photographer, which is an incredible feeling. The past year was filled with new babies, friends getting married, getting a year older, celebrating love with couples from Waconia MN to Wisconsin, toddlers going from crawling to walking, and so many small moments that have made it such a memorable year! Thank you to all my clients and friends for making 2010 the fantastic year it was, I can’t wait to see what 2011 brings!!!

Lindsay and Adam – Minnetonka Maternity Photography

It may be one of the only reasons I appreciate facebook… it is a great tool to get reconnected with people! So thank you facebook without you I don’t think I would have been able to see Lindsay and Adam this weekendThey just celebrated their 2 year wedding anniversary and will be welcoming a little boy Asher in about 5 weeks or so! I think Lindsay looks AMAZING and she was such a trooper as we made out way around Excelsior. Thanks Adam for putting up with all our catching up and pregnancy chattingHope these last few weeks FLY by for you, but enjoy those last moments as a family of two! Thanks again for spending your Saturday evening with me, it was so good to see you!!
