Hiii! Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog! My name is Ashley Cohn and I'm a lifestyle photographer in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

I'll tell you a little bit about myself: I went to college at Iowa State University and the University of Minnesota majoring in Family Social Science, this gave me the foundation to work with families and children in a different situations and environments. If you asked me what I wanted to be growing up, I would have told you a teacher without a doubt in my mind. I developed a passion for working with children when I was little and have been able to combine it with my love of photography to have the best job on earth (in my opinion)...a photographer :) I love being able to capture kids, newborn babies, families, people in love, and all of life's precious moments.

A few fun facts: I am addicted to M&Ms, plain is always preferred but I can mix it up between peanut butter and the mint during Christmas time. I read almost every issue of People and US Weekly magazine, cover to cover, and check gossip sites on a daily basis. Friends is one of my favorite shows. Discovering a new song and playing it on repeat is one of life's simple pleasures. My photography business is named after my brothers and me; J is for Jesse my younger but much taller brother and Tyler is my brother who lost is battle with leukemia at the age of 8. This way they will always be a part of me.

I love babies. Little toes. Little fingers. Itty bitty selves, fresh to this crazy world we live in. Cooper is nothing short of perfection…. those lips, those eyes, all that hair. I completely understand how Katie just spends hours watching her new little man sleep.It was so good to see you, thank you for letting me meet and photograph Cooper!

Photographers say it all the time, but I loveeee being able to watch kids grow up. I’ve known Chloe and Ethan’s mom for, oh my… about almost 9 years, and it’s been so fun to reconnect with her and watch her be a WONDERFUL mom to two great kids!!!They came by the studio to help break it in the other week, Chloe made sure the acoustics were working right with her cowboy boots and songs! Thank you so much for coming in, can’t wait to see you guys again soon!!!

This was towards the end and I can just see Chloe thinking “Mom if you tell me to smile one more time…” or “Give me my Beauty and the Beast”

I can’t get over those blue eyes and adorable cheeks, he’s so stinkin’ cute!!! I can’t imagine what a heartbreaker he’s going to be in about 16 yearsI think 8 month olds might be my FAVORITE age to photograph, they are sitting up and starting to crawl but can’t crawl away from me quite yet! Thanks Cassie for coming down to the studio, it’s always great to see you and Treston!!!!

Oh Emmy, she’s gotten so big in the last few months! She’s sitting up all on her own now and attempting to start the whole crawling businessAshley brought her into the studio for me the other day so I could see them and use Emmy as a model for the new studio space. It was so perfect… well because she’s just ADORABLE!!! Check out for yourself… just can’t help but smile!!!
