The Notebook

I’m not the type of person who has a “favorite” movie, because I have far too many movies that would be in the running for the top choice… but one of those that is at the TIP TOP of that list would be The Notebook. When I can’t sleep, having a bad day or just want to watch an adorable love story it is one of the first I pick up. Yes, I am your typical girl… I love Nicholas Sparks movies and books. Although I will tell you his books are hands down 100 times better than the movies… especially The Last Song… sweet lord, Miley Cyrus can’t act to save her life. ANYHOOO… last night on twitter Nicholas Sparks shared an engagement session that was inspired by The Notebook, it was featured on Green Wedding Shoes. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE (can’t even write enough loves) this post! Here are just a couple from the post, if you love the movie as much as I do PLEASE go check it out.. it’s BEAUTIFUL. Bobbi+Mike’s Workshop… NEXT WEEK :)

One week from today I will be sitting with 9 other fabulous photographers learning from the amazing husband wife team Bobbi+Mike! I am extremely excited about it, I’ve been waiting for them to do a workshop for as long as I can remember. When they announced they were doing workshops, I really didn’t have to think too long about whether I was going or not… I would find a way to get there:)They have been a huge influence on what I strive to be as a photographer not to mention a person, so I can’t wait to see what I come away from next week learning.. two full days with Bobbi and Mike… oh goodness I can’t wait! Here are a few of my FAVORITE images of B+M’s, I took screen shots of them to keep on my computer as a bit of inspiration, so I promise I didn’t steal these images from them… I’d never do such a thing!:)

I have a feeling this week is just going to FLY by, but I feel like a kid waiting to go to Disney… I won’t be able to sleep because I’m so excited!!!:)

Earlier this fall I entered a photo contest through the Lake Minnetonka Magazine, I submitted three pictures and to be honest, kind of forgot about it. When I received an e-mail saying “You won!” I was speechless. A few weeks later I received another e-mail saying they wanted to use my image in another issue, I was jumping for joy not just that my image was chosen but because of the one chosen. My dear friend Rachel and her daughter Paloma have been such amazing friends and clients since I started my business, so to have the picture of Paloma in the magazine made me ecstatic!

New…

I love new things… shoes, jeans, books, music, a hairbrush (yes, I said a hair brush)… it’s just so much better when it’s new. I don’t know exactly why that is, but it’s true:)So when I have the opportunity to offer something NEW to clients I get all sorts of giddy about it. Here’s one of the many things that will be available this year, some call it an Image Folio I might need to come up with a more fun word for it… if you have a suggestion, please let me know!

When you open it up it clearly displays two images, here is the fantabulous Sullivan family and their oldest Michael on the right.
