A few of my personal favorites from last year… from a wedding, to babies, a couple of seniors and a whole lot of love! Thank you to everyone who made 2011 absolutely INCREDIBLE, honestly I can’t wait to see what 2012 brings!:)

Finn has been there since the beginning (like no joke, first session I EVER did!), and now he’s a big brother – crazy how time flies!

Self Portrait #2

It seemed fitting to have this month’s self portrait be taken in my car, since I seem to spend quite a bit of time in it. Whether it’s driving to and from shoots, picking up the girls from school, going to soccer or even just the daily trips to the gym… my car and I are TIGHT:)Still trying to figure out a name for her or him, any suggestions? It’s a white Nissan Rogue… I absolutely love it. I’ve had it for about a year now, although the high gas prices are not my favorite part of owning an SUV, (s)he definitely got me through this snowy winter with no problems!

The lyrics to this song seemed fitting for a self portrait:

For 2011 I am shooting for a few goals that are going to take me out of my comfort zone completely. Growing up, to say I hated being in front of the camera might be an understatement, I would hide and run from any camera being pointed in my direction. When looking through family photos I realized how few pictures I am in from that time in my life and it is disappointing. One of the goals for this year is to take self portraits, I got inspired after seeing Gail and Gina both document themselves over the last year. I’m just uncomfortable thinking about posting these photos, I was so tempted to photoshop every little imperfection out of them… but that’s not the point of this. So this is me, completely vulnerable… with my favorite scarf and new darker hair.
