Chloe – Woodbury Senior Photography

Chloe – you are absolutely gorgeous! I wish my hair had the curls you do, and your eyes are amazing… I swear I wasn’t lying when I said it!:)I had a great time with you and your family on Sunday afternoon, thanks to Laura for picking out a great spot in downtown St. Paul… one that I never knew existed! Here are just a couple from our session!

I posted this one on the sneak peek, but I just LOVE it!:)

Grant – Minnetonka Senior Photography

It is already that time of year, Senior Photos!!!! Grant is one of my good friend’s little brother… which let’s be honest he’s not little, he TOWERS over me. I was on my tip toes for most of the session, wondering why didn’t I wear heels then at least I’d stand a chance next to him! We wandered about downtown Wayzata on a warm night last week and ended with a trip back to the High School to get some great shots of Grant on the football field and bleachers! Thanks to the whole family for spending the evening with me!! Here’s a sneak peek:)

2010… What a year! :)

Oh 2010, where have you gone? I can’t believe how fast it came and went! This year was unbelievable… I can’t seem to put into words how it’s been so I’ll let some of the pictures from the past 365 days show it:)I feel like I’ve grown not only as a person but a photographer, which is an incredible feeling. The past year was filled with new babies, friends getting married, getting a year older, celebrating love with couples from Waconia MN to Wisconsin, toddlers going from crawling to walking, and so many small moments that have made it such a memorable year! Thank you to all my clients and friends for making 2010 the fantastic year it was, I can’t wait to see what 2011 brings!!!

Oliver – Minnetonka Senior Photography

I’ll try not to be sappy in this post but I apologize ahead of time… I’ve known Oliver for almost his whole life, his brother Adam and I went to school together since middle school. I used to babysit Ollie and his sister Emma while they were younger, so when Melissa asked if I would take Ollie’s senior pictures I was so honored. I just can’t believe he’s a senior… in high school, graduating in the spring and going off to UND for Aviation. Who would have thought playing all those flying video games would lead to going to college to be a pilot?:)I feel so lucky to have watched your grow up into such a handsome young man and can’t wait to see where life takes you.

Big Ol’ Prints – Minnetonka Lifestyle Photography

I’m a visual person… I like to see things before I buy them, so I thought maybe my clients (potential clients) might be like that too! I know buying the digital negatives are the current “thing to do”, but I really want to show you why buying prints is so important. Most of the time those digital files just sit on the disc, not being printed and displayed in your home… why wouldn’t you want to show of those beautiful kiddos and perfect family photos?! They deserve to be above the fireplace, on the walls around your home or even sent to Grandma to have her show of her grand babies to all her friends:)Here are some of the photos that I recently had prints made because I wanted to display my clients in the studio and at home…

Baby Sienna…. goodness she was such a perfect little newborn.. here’s a 16×20 and an 8×10… doesn’t the 8×10 just look TINY? The bigger the better to display your little ones! (sounds a lot like little red riding hood, but you know what I mean:))

Now here’s a 16×20, 11×14 and the 8×10, just to give you an idea of the sizes. I think we are used to thinking.. 8×10 that’s HUGE.. well as you saw in the picture above.. definitely not as big as we are used to:)

Here’s my FAVORITE picture from Tom and Holly’s wedding, I just had to make a couple of prints for myself… on the left is a 16×20 Standout with Black finish and on the right is an 11×14 mounted. The mounting keeps the picture from curving over time, it’s a great support. All photos bigger than 8×10 come mounted to ensure your photos will last for a VERY long time!

Please don’t judge the quality of this photo.. it was taken in my basement with absolutely NO window light…

Anyhooo, here’s all of them displayed up on my mantle…. Black Standout, Mounted 16×20, Mounted 11×14 and Mounted 8×10. What a difference, right?

Here’s the Black Standout Mount from the side…:)

If you have a moment, go take a look at my fellow workshop friend Allyson… she just opened up her studio space and has these BEAUTIFUL displays of canvas art, wall clusters and much more! Her work is phenomenal and her studio is just perfect!  It makes me giddy with excitement about my studio space!
